Employee Engagement is emerging as a matter of the highest importance. So far, we have experienced fatigue and a disconnect between employees and company culture, especially with front-line workers working in direct contact with customers and suppliers. There is a growing gap between what the employees expect from their employers and what they believe the employees expect. 

Leaders need to recognize the change and impact the short-term and long-term factors that nurture employee engagement. Research shows that 18% of employees are already seriously considering leaving their current organization in the near future – the impact and causes of this attrition need to be understood and mitigated.

Martin Sundblad, Research Manager at IDC will moderate the discussions and kick start the webinar with a short update on the latest trends and research in Employee Engagement.

Pelle Nilsson, Global Change Lead for Securitas Group will walk us though Securitas recent journey connecting employees across 50 countries with the aim to create one company with a shared purpose and values, and to unlock crisscross-organizational conversations and knowledge sharing. Pelle will share the challenges along the way as well as the positive effects.

Knut Anders Gjersøe, Team Lead for the Workplace Center of Excellence at Crayon will present the user-case of Felleskjøpet (a Norwegian cooperative focusing on agricultural equipment and wholesale of grains, animal food and seeds).  Felleskjøpet launched Workplace for their 2000 employees, across more than 100 locations, in December 2020 to improve digital communication engagement for frontline workers and to accomplish a higher level of digital peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. Knut will present some of the finding from this initiative as well as some best practice learned along the way.

The speaker trio will finish off the webinar discussing the following questions:

- In what ways will employee engagement improve business outcome?

- How can engagement be achieved short term and long term?

- How can technology build loyalty and leadership when the workforce is diverse and distributed?
